Hardware Bargains

It just shows how much the other motherf***rs (Cell C, Vodacom, MTN) are ripping us off if Telkom can sell us 500gb for R50 and still make profit.

Profit?... the way their model works isn't "we buy xGB for yZAR and sell for zZAR"

The idea here is to utilise the midnight-7am spots where everyone is generally asleep. Everything is already there, its just not being used. It's not 500GB you can use whenever you want, its 500GB to use in that time only.

I'm not convinced by LG's UHD tvs at the moment. Google's showing they are not true UHD.
The Hisense ULED range (xx"M7000 models) on the other hand seems to be getting some rave reviews

Interesting. Dion wired have the ULED 65M7000 for R19 999. Same price as the LG. Tough choice.

For that price I'll grab two. If anyone in PE wants one PM me

Edit: decided to opt for in store collection when I'm back in PE tomorrow. But I can grab some more while I'm there if anybody needs

I'm also getting one. At that price it's a bloody steal.

Hmm, guess I could have done that too - it's literally across the road from me :D

Didn't bother to even look for that option though.

I ordered one to reserve stock in case they run out before I get there.

/Ponders - I'm technically closer to Bloem's IC than PE's one...

/Ponders some more - my boss will kill me if they find out I took the work vehicle to Bloem :D

That's an old model.
LG SJ800, 850 and 950 are 2017 models.

Not if you roll back the mileage

The model on special is the 65UH770 - it seems it was released 2016 but not much has changed with regards to HDR etc with the new ones launched or am I missing something?

A lot has changed.
HDR10, HLG, Technicolour, Dolby Vision (Lots of Netflix content with this).

2017 TVs use nano cell tech plus it is the premium UHD instead of the one used back then when there was an argument between LG, Samsung and other rivals.

This is the link for the tv:

http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-65UH7700-4k-uhd-tv

It's states HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Can you see anything that is missing / a concern maybe?

That 770 does HDR10 and Dolby Vision which should place it in the HDR Premium bracket.
