Depends on your budget and whether you game? For best workstation performance per R get R7. For gaming and a bit more money 8700k is the best.

Budget is 6k on the processor.

Usage:

-Web/Graphic Design
-Gaming

I don't video edit or anything of the sort. I do tend to have multiple programs open.

I also intend on keeping the processor for another 5 years or so. Bit peeved off that the current generation of processors do not overclock well as the 2600k.

You asking the wrong person. I'm also confused. Don't do hectic games but do gaming most on my pc. Upgrading from a FX8150 so getting a motherboard too.

At first I was just thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 1600 or 1600x since I don't play the latest games on my pc just league of legends but yeah not sure to be honest.

For little over 6k I would go for the Intel and a nice cooler. The workstation benchmarks are a bit below the R7, I doubt it will make a difference in your use case, but in gaming the 8700k is much better.

I'm going to go with the 8700k. That's if I can get stock before December. If not, I'll just wait for Ice Lake. 10 nm compare to Coffee lake's 14nm

Yup, decided on that as well. Just trying to source stock before December, otherwise will wait for Ice Lake. Thanks

Not sure if hardware but...

Takealot has a Ryobi Air Compressor with Spray Gun kit for R1999

^Only 24l unfortunately which isn't ideal for any sort of DIY spraying, at least not large surfaces continuously

I will take the one from takealot the stuff that comes with it will add up to the same amount XD now you can pump your wheels even faster if you have a flatty :?
