Some decent specs, but the CPU is outdated.

Alternative: http://www.wootware.co.za/lenovo-id...dows-8-1-single-language-64-bit-notebook.html
There are some concern around the quality and viewing angles of the screen according to some reviews, but the specs are just amazing for the price.

Personally I would refrain from buying demo notebooks. Buy today works perfectly but after a year it can start giving you issues. I once bought a demo notebook, pixel/contract problems started after 2 weeks of having the notebook what makes matters even worse when I tried to send it in for repair unfortunately they were unable to repair the notebook.

I asked for a refund immediately or else I was going to expose the reputable company who sold it to me...

Yeah also noted the CPU was dated. Checking out the wootware link..

This is what concerns me most. Most stores have these machines running all the time, so it seems like the battery or hdd may just decide to have a mid-life crisis on me. Thanks for sharing your experience. Will pass on this.

Game has a 2TB 2.5" USB 3.0 portable hard drive for R1249.

Not bad for a retailer. But our closest Game is like 50KM one way, or 100KM there are back. For people in my situation I would suggest:

WD Elements 2.5inch 2TB Portable Drive - Black R 1,338 inc courier.

http://www.makro.co.za/computing-and-mobile/logitech-corded-keyboard-plus-mouse-190179EA

Logitech MK120 Keyboard and Mouse combo for R100. Seems to be online only, as it's not in any of their promotional leaflets and it's not available on the shelves instore. Makro's normal price for this combo is R269. Even at Takealot it's about R200.

Thanks, this is a real bargain for Logitech stuffs.

btw guys the asus memopad FHD LTE , the chip actually a snapdragon 600 and not a s4 pro , making it a really awesome tablet!

cpu is clocked at 1.5ghz , through snapdragon 600 is certified for 1.7ghz.

really enjoying mine!
