Oh I know the CPU is enough to run the game, i5-2500K is still a very good one. All I want to know is if it's getting a bit long in the tooth; if it will prevent me from getting the most out of the GTX 780.

I'd like to know if it's really worth upgrading to the equivalent Ivybridge/Haswell/Broadwell CPU. My gut says no and that there's probably only a 15% improvement anyway.
