If one buy's a laptop from Amazon .com, it'll come with an American plug right? Would need to then buy a charger for it locally?
I don't think any laptop chargers these days aren't universal voltage units. If you want to be sure you can Google for an original manufacturer replacement charger for the laptop you want in the US and look at the input. If it says 110-230VAC you can be pretty confident the one that comes with the laptop will be the same and all you will need to do is buy the US to SA adapter plug or just cut and rewire the plug yourself.

i don't think i can return it because nothings wrong with it. i think they only will accept it back if it was faulty

Have you used it yet?
Usually they not too bad with returns. Just tell them you changed your mind. Will be easier of its still within 7 days
