My guess is that these are returned items. So hopefully the items still work as the boxed items.

Just bought this dell:

picked it over the sammy which was slightly cheaper but didn't come with onboard speakers or a VESA mount and according to reviews had generally poorer build quality (although great PQ).

Hopefully it's not the pair I bought and returned a month ago.
One speaker was DOA and the wire was loose (basically hanging on a thread) on another.
Must've been a factory defect / QA fail as Im dead sure I was the only owner (everything was wrapped and sealed neatly... Factory neatly)
