Ignore the reviews on gearbest when looking at these boxes and rather look for a 3rd party reviews on eg. youtube or some AV forum. The box I got from them is the bee's knees according to their reviews whereas everywhere else the box is getting the worst reviews possible.

Sounds like some user error going on there... Never had an issue on Gearbest, always use PayPal

Nope...after a bit of googling, it seems it's been an ongoing (CC) issue, since 2012. The only "solution" they offer is, "please use PayPal.
Got the same run around with their Live Chat now. Ranging from, "there's a problem with your CC, please contact your bank" to "your CC is not authorized to buy internationally." Eventually, I got the "please use PayPal solution."
Too much effort...if they don't want my money, it's all good.
I hear you. I already have a Paypal account so no biggie for me to just pay like that.
