Would have been nice if Dell had honoured the order...think they are going to upset a good 3000-odd people this weekend :D

I get this when searching for my order number:

We regret to inform you that your recent order 174643329 for the WD Blue PC SSD WDS250G1B0A - Solid state drive - 250 GB - internal - 2.5-inch - SATA 6Gb/s has been cancelled due to a pricing error on our Website. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Did any of you in your heart of hearts really believe you were getting a 250GB SSD for ~R300?

Yes.

I've seen big specials from the American retailers especially when they are clearing old stock.

I promised myself I'd be optimistic throughout 2017 dammit :D

Granted I didn't look very hard but I could only find one confirmed post of someone having physically received any drives.

And apparently Dell is recalling the shipped ones too if Reddit posts are to be believed

Hoping mine don't get cancelled! No email yet, and the website still shows confirmed.

Maybe it's because I bought this some time before you guys? Can you guys check what "Order Date" the cancelled ones are?

I wonder what the E&OE policy is over there?

I suppose Dell being a large corporate would have their asses covered, but still, in a country such as the USA with all their lawsuits one would think they would take the knock rather and move on than recoup costs and possibly anger their customers

Then again all the spendthrifts that raced to nail the pricing hiccup aren't their core business..

One of my orders were cancelled, so 8 drives left. Hope the rest are fine!
