If anybody wants to add high quality Bluetooth support to an older HiFi to wirelessly stream YouTube, Spotify, Deezer etc, OneDayOnly has the OneForAll Bluetooth Music Receiver HD on special today for R399 or R349 using a R50 discount coupon (currently R999 at Takealot). A decent HiFi setup using this adapter should produce much better sound than most, if not all, Bluetooth wireless speakers.

This adapter uses the latest Qualcomm/CSR chipset with aptX and optical output with a Wolfson DAC. This product is more advanced than the similarly priced Logitech or Ugreen Bluetooth Audio Adapters from Takealot, Loot etc. which do not support aptX or optical output etc.

Just to mention that odo has a delivery fee of about 70 bucks irrespective of quantity, so something to keep in mind when comparing prices. I know TA also has delivery fees for under.. What's it now? 350? Or 450?

Nice specs but does anyone have real world experience with it?

Few things have let me down as much as Bluetooth audio devices, if they don't have weird hum, popping, loosing connection unless you are under 1m away etc, there'll be some Chinese lady saying "blu toof connected" every time you switch it on or change inputs.

Have to agree with this. I've got so many bluetooth devices that I don't end up using because there's some niggle...

Samsung Level Link is practically flawless but at the cost of the device, it's cheaper to just buy good BT headphones or amp.

Cheapest I've seen those sizes selling for.

Me too. Even amazon imports can't beat those prices. Wootware is like almost R1000 more for the same drives. Now that is how you do a special actually Takealot!

Bluetooth Earphones - Amplify Pro Skip Series

HiFi Corp has a nice pair of Bluetooth earphones for R169. Bought two for me and my wife and the sound quality is fair to good, the same with the battery life of around 5-7 hours but the transmission range is kind of disappointing and not the claimed 10m on the box. It uses Bluetooth 4.1 technology.
