Loads of discenting views. Personally I think he is right. It can take off in a big way depending on how easy these robots can be stowed away in the basement, garage or closet.

For these machines to come close to humans they would have to be able to refuse sex from time to time and fake a headache. :D
 
It does sound like this is inevitable. I would prefer if we could simulate reality in our dreams like The Matrix because in your dreams there is no limit to the possibilities. There was a story I read a while ago of Sony patenting a video game device that can project images directly into your brain. So the Matrix is really closer than we think.

People will do anything to avoid themselves and to avoid having to make decisions. A dream reality like Agent Smith described is our future unless we wake up from this dream.
 
now where does morality come in here?
 
Hmm, I wonder if my wife will get upset if I asked her to include extra batteries in the shopping list....
