Has anyone used importitall.co.za?

There is an item on amazon that I want to buy that is not sold to international customers.

Amazon: $48.95 (R 384.64 at todays exchange rate)

Wantitall.co.za : Discounted Price R 1,210.00
ImportItall.co.za : R883.00

Only disadvantage is it takes 20 work days.

Anyone use them before?
 
Use http://bongous.com/. Gives you a US and Europe mail address (physical, not a PO Box) and then lets you ship it from them via DHL. The shipping for the item (depending on it's weight/size) would be minimum $105ish. But you'll get it within 7 days (from taking receipt from amazon)

There is a signup process/verification process you'd have to go through which may take a couple of days to a week. So probably not the best way to go if it's something you want urgently. But once you're done with that, the rest is cake.

Takealot and Loot do carry some products only available in the USA.

Another shipper: myus.com. I have a colleague who uses them on a regular basis and is very happy with their service.

I did a search on takealot in all categories and couldn't find it but have gone back now and see US imports is a separate department and when searching there found it and the price is R 858 so R30 cheaper and it will include delivery. Delivery is a bit longer up to 29 working days. So month a a half.
 
Importitall.co.za is run by NGR. There are quite a few loyal customers on this forum which will vouch for us. NGR has been in busines since 2004, our import department for about a year now. The difference is that we moved all import items off NGR and started a separate store altogether. Starting out, we are working on the 10-20 working day timeframe. Lately though, we are finding that we are shipping items much sooner. The quickest being 4 working days. The trick is customs, some shipments clear before the consignment even lands in the country - others, they keep for ages. All comes down to luck of the draw as to who is actually dealing with the consignment at customs and what kind of mood they are in. Rather under promise and over deliver, so we are going to stick with the 10-20 working day delivery for now :)
 
+1 vouch, I have bought laptop batteries via NGR through their import services and have always been satisfied with the service.

Importitall does not have that (from my quick 10second scan).
 
My only qeustion is, say you import something like a lcd ofcourse you can not plug that thing in direct in our plugs.
because of the voltage diffrence. Where do you buy the plug or transformer to bring the voltage down to 110V???

Do some research before you buy on the product you buy. Most LCDs have switch mode PSUs that accept 90-264V, but not all, so you need to find out.
 
Most monitors are dual voltage. Same with PC's. But Zakspeed in Marlboro sells them.

We keep them too. The converters are about R50, but can only be used on smaller applicances. We have found though, that 90% of the items we have brought in are 110-240V compatble, so no real problems. Always best to check first though.
 
i have used them there brilliant and so is there service..u always get update where ur order is and they always quick to help u with questions..i definitely recommend them

they now order from USA AND UK so u can now order dvds and electronics FROM THE UK because they will work in SA

used to order from amazon through takealot.com untill something happend and they stopped doin it

so yes i recommend importitall...for there service
