Has audi lost the plot?

Was in the market for a 4door M3 and heard about the new TTRS so i decided to wait and see what it is like.
Test drove the vehicle and wow is that thin g quick - feels much faster than the M as well.

So today the dealer calls me cause i was waiting on price and now i hear that it close to R700k.

The S4 is R580K for a base model.

Does it not now just make more sense to get a 2008 M3 for around R600K with low mileage and the m-dynamic package?

Now i might as well get myself a 2007 porsche cayman s for the price of the TTRS
