Has audi lost the plot?

Dude! What line of work are you into? Can I drop my CV off?

Eish dude if only it was my job that did it for me.

I have been buying shares for just over 9 years now and decided to cash in some as most of them are - My bond is finished and i have no other debt....so i decided to spoil myself and get something just for me.

SHARES i purchased in MAY2000 was R3.15 and sold a few months ago at R100.00

Erm is this the same forum where we were discussing how crazy people were to pay telephone numbers for motorcars?

NO car is worth more than a friggin house!

True dat - but if i die in the near future atleast i can say i owned and drove 1 of those cars and it is not worth more than the value of my home.

Sheesh dude, you sound like smart investor type, bit now you're gonna throw money away on a completely depreciating expense? *just saying*

Just to clear something up, they did not stop making the RS4, the idea is that there is only one RS model on the line at a time, it is currently the RS6's turn...

It seems as if the entire VAG group have lost the plot in terms of pricing their new vehicles......

if you looking at a TT, why the 4 doors on the M3? ... id also be tempted to try the TT-RS ... it is an FI motor that will be quicker than the M ... if you comparing new for new than the price on that TT-RS is about right ... it still is cheaper than a new M3 4dr ...

personally though its a tough call ... M3 or TT-RS ... i might just say TT-RS, because its something new and fresh ... but id choose a DCT M3 and only in coupe form ...

PS: there is a nicely spec'ed 08 M3 in the autotrader for R620k with 9000km, m-dynamic the whole toot ...

spoil yourself brother you work hard for your money and if you can afford the car why not?

Was originally looking for a 4 door but then in your 135i thread someone talked about the TTRS so i though i might be interested cause it sounded like a real machine.
Test drove the tt and was blown away by the speed...but that was about it for me and while it is quicker it is not as involving as the M3.
The M3 and C63 feel like much more of a driver's car - i am sure you agree on the M3 bit.

I thought the TTRS is only being launched next year:confused:

Sorry guys - test drove the TTS - was just dissapointed by the price of the TTRS....so kept putting TTRS everywhere...my bad

which audi dealer had an S4 for you to test drive? i didn't know the S4 was launched locally yet and the audi site has no info on it

A car is nice but it's pointless. It's not a asset its a liability. I have a Volvo and a bakkie at a cost of R 400k , but my house is paid up. That extra money you can turn to profit elsewhere.

Exactly. I can't fathom why people would try to enjoy their money rather than die with a large stockpile of cash. Please, someone explain this to me.
