Has Windows 7 Already Lost to Mac OS X?

There is a distinction between freedom of speech and abuse of speech :D

Way I look at it is I'm not entirely satisfied with any particular OS at this point. Windows has a lot of apps but comes with quite a few headaches. OSX comes with prettiness and arguably stability but lacks application support and has a hefty price tag. Linux offers most things but certainly lacks compatibility support.

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 (and loving it), have run OSX (and enjoyed it) as well as all the Windows from 3.1 through 7 (and loved aspects of them as well). I wish there was an end to fanboys on all sides of every fence :(
 
I think what the writer of that artcle fails to realise considerably is that the PC market (Apple,Linux & Windows) as a whole is growing buy sheer numbers ! So yeah Apples market share will grow by sheer numbers and Microsfts will grow even more... This isn't a war anymore folks if IBM hadn't opened up its PC platfrom to other manufactures the world would be a diffrent place. Apple and Microsoft compete in the same arena but in diffrent ways. I'm personally disgusted by the Apple ads all they do is expose evangelism and show how vulnerable they are and how asleep Microsft is... They have woken up and Windows 7 proves it while it might not be the best o.s out there atm. It shows they know willing to listen... And that's good for the other 92% of us ;-)
