So, I'm playing NFS:The Run and it suddenly freezes and bombs out.

But besides this, a Windows diagnostics box pops up that seemingly wants to help. It scans ... and cannot fix it.

My question ... has Windows ever automatically fixed anything?

And I'm talking about network issues too. So many times have a Windows diagnostics dialogue box popped up and then eventually helped nothing.

Still on XP and it did find offer solutions to me quite a few times... 95% of the time it would be outdated software version related. Something along the lines of "Your version of Program X is outdated, please update to the latest version". Although that works just as well as

Rumour has it that it did once fix a problem for someone on the internet. Maybe thats on snopes now though.

I just turn off the service, so I wouldn't know.

Haha, very true, I doubt it fixes anything. Microsoft probably made that to keep their users at bay.

So, its not only me who gets NFS:TR crashing.
