Good day,

I'd like to know if going to Hatfield via the Gautrain is a good idea? I want to take my mom to Pretoria for a breakfast Sunday for Mothers day. Is there any shopping centers close to the Hatfield gautrain station? Will the trains be operating Sunday? We only want to be there for about 2 hours, in the morning, so times shouldn't be an issue.

Theres Hatfield plaza, then there is a news café, ocean basket, mimmos etc across the road. Hatfield is generally safe.
But not sure if the gautrain will be operating on Sunday

Check the gautrain bus feeders from Hatfield station, will save you a walk as well if the place you identify for breakers is not near the station : http://join.gautrain.co.za/Buses.aspx

I don't think the busses run on weekends or have they changed that?

The station is 1 block away from both Hatfield Plaza and Hatfield square, so lots of places to choose from.

Yep within walking distance. Train runs but longer times in between trains.
