Change of vote - three antigen tests since Friday and another two scheduled for this week.

I'm assuming you got through ok, just seen you were online this am.
Any other symptoms develop or just loss of taste and smell?
 
So haven't taken any since I got the vaccine about 1.5 months ago +2 weeks, but just went through my e-mail list of appointment confirmations:
- 8 PCR (gargle)
- 23 rapid anti-gen (nose swab)

I did one averaging every third day from beginning of April till mid of July, test was valid for 48 hours to enter restaurants, needed it in case of exiting the city to visit family if they did public transit checks, and quite a few hospital visits I did.
Luckily they're free here.

Right side is rapid test, those were rendered invalid in terms of being allowed for saying non-positive, they still work fine though, it's just that PCR is more accurate so city said everyone must use that. Left side the box is huge, but it's just a small saline solution you need to gargle (on camera/online system if want it to be valid) and submit at any billa or something like that (think woolworths), and you should get your result same day if <9am, else some time the following day.

Sitting on a shelf now, meanwhile that's like R200/swab if you get it done at clicks, so ~R3k...

Are any home antigen test kits available in this country?A friend in Lithuania says it cost 3 euros at a pharmacy.

Good luck on finding any here at that price( if at all!)

Yeah. Been a while since then. I also had headaches for a few days and extreme fatigue that lasted like 2 weeks. Taste and smell took about a month to return to normal.

Since then I developed bells palsy which my GP said could have been triggered by Covid virus in my system.

Not daily, just on certain days.

Vaccination status doesn't come into it. They want tests before you're allowed into their bubble.

Being vaccinated doesn't assure you won't contract Covid, only drastically lessens the possibility of severe hospitalisations and deaths..

And quite rightly, if you do happen to contract Covid, even after being vaccinated, you may be asymptomatic and inadvertently pass it on to others in a closed work environment.

PITA being tested so frequently, but co workers health and possibly lives are at risk if not.

No brainer imo.
