Main question for poll should be "Has @epah succumbed to temu yet? "
They won't, they have a distrust for Chinese, they don't even go down to the local Chinese shop... Sushi is Japanese and should only be made in a Japanese restaurant.

Had my first product "hiccup" with a Temu order.

Ordered an item that claimed to be compatible with something, but when I got it it very clearly isn't going to be compatible. Now I get to test the return/refund process with Temu and see if it actually works.

In SA, it's local or Chinese guys who make the sushi :)

I see the minimum order has now been increased to R400, probably to reduce the demand and support the free shipping a bit longer

Mine says R200 minimum. I've had three orders so far. Maybe it depends on how many times you've ordered.

They don't sell Lego, so I haven't had a reason to visit their website. So for now, I have no idea what there is to be bought, and a really strong chance I will never visit Temu or Shein.

Ordered an item which arrived here damaged due to poor packaging. After sending pics and explaining the problem they offered to refund me, which I accepted. So I doubt you will have problems.

I didn't expect to have an issue, but its not very often I use the Return/Refund element of online shops.

Actually cancelled an order last night and the refund (payment was done using ApplePay) was completed by the time I woke.

I just now cancelled one item out of an order that I had placed yesterday.
Was quite impressed that it was possible

Have you ordered from Temu? Let us know what your experience was like.

Temu is an online marketplace for items directly from China, similar to Wish and Shein - which recently launched in South Africa.
Yes. The items were generally quite ok and some of the clothing is actually quite good. However, the tax amount was almost R600 on an order of only just over R2000. This may be partly due to a duvet cover which, if classified under textiles, attracts importation tax at 45%. Customers need to be careful regarding what they order. Their courier in SA, Buffalo, has also failed to send me the detailed breakdown of the taxes levied, despite my request through a facility on their website.
