Having a girl over for dinner

Hi Guys quick question that I need you opinion on.

If a girl comes over for dinner to your house do you precook the food like they do in the movies or start making the food after the girl arrives?

My thougts would be after.
 
Hope she isn't hungry or that you are making something that goes fast. I would start before she comes over, but it depends on the food.
 
Spend time chatting to her. Food should be prepared well before and taste tested to ensure flavour. Depends if you want to use cooking as foreplay but ensure you know how to approach that if she is hesitant.
 
Start when she comes over. Deliberately mess up. Let her take over. Sit back and relax.
 
It will be Lasagne so not too long but takes a bit of time. I thougt it would be a good idea to kind of do it together.
 
Do all the prep work and start cooking just before she is scheduled to arrive. This way she gets to smell the food and not you... :p

OP: All depends if you have enough to do with the girl. You could prepare early and then chill with her till its dinner time. Or you could make preparing the meal "part" of the date. It might be fun (as illustrated above), but it has to be a mutual thing. Just remember its tricky to pull it off and she might just want to do all of it. Awkward.

This is a good idea so when she arrives you put on the final touches and the lasagne goes into the oven then you have a drink to settle everyone before having dinner. Thank Mickey

@abzo That is the end goal yes but unfortunately for me that only happens so quickly in the movies. :)
