I've done both. She may enjoy helping and it breaks the ice- giving your hands something to do. Just depends on how comfortable you are with her, but make sure she understands this was part of the plan- get an apron for both of you or something so that she doesn't think you're just under prepared and having her there isn't that important.

It will be Lasagne so not too long but takes a bit of time. I thougt it would be a good idea to kind of do it together.

Well that you can do all the prep work beforehand (See DJ's thread on doing the mince), once she arrives you can just do all the layering etc and pop it into the oven. She can help with this while you guys crack open a bottle of red whine.
