Hey~ Was wondering if anyone could help. A friend of mine is currently having trouble connecting his PC to the internet via 3G

You'll have to excuse me if I can't give proper info or such, I personally have no experiance with 3G and such.

Details:
Well, he has successfully connected in the past, but recently, (I think a week or two back?) he hasn't been able to.
He keeps getting the error message "Failed to connect to the network. One touch access could not connect to the selected device." when he tries.

He is using a desktop computer, running Windows XP Service Pack 2, Nokia PC Suite (Version 6.84.10.4) and using a Nokia 6020 connected with a serial cable. And incase it matters, he stays in the Durban/Pinetown area.

Any ideas?

If you can't connect at all for such a long period then it's a software/driver/setup issue.
Turn your cellphone off and then on again and try connect.

Also try reinstalling Nokia PC suite if that doesn't work.
You can also set the APN on your cellphone to internet and connect using that connection (*99# no username and password) in your Windows network connection list. (Thus avoiding using PC suite)
Thanks for the speedy reply.

Right. I told him to try the cellphone off and on again, no luck.
We have just tried setting his APN to "internet" and connecting via that (*99#, no username or password, the avoid using PC Suite route.), apparently when he tries to dial it however, it tells him that the modem is in use by another program or such.
