HD display tablet <R2000

Hi guys

I'm currently in the market for a tablet.
Searching by HD display does not yield a lot of results. So I'll rely on your vast experience.

Need a tablet with an HD display, under 2k, preferably 2gb ram - not a deal breaker and 7/8 inch display.

Piesank, you are shooting a little low price wise with those specs. If you find one, IF, it will be a piece of crap in any case.

Best bet is to find something decent, and see if you can find it secondhand in the classifieds or gumtree.

yeah rather something of quality

cause i played around with the 2k tablets and they are far away from tablets that are double the price

but if you can pick up a 2nd hand double the price tablet then its good

My brother wants a tablet so that he can read his study material easily, I personally don't see any point in getting something that can do everything your phone can do, but he wants a bigger display and 2k is his limit.

But I would personally prefer an HD display over a non HD display for video playback and general browsing.
 
Get a 2ndhand iPad3. You should be able to get one around 2k, and the build quality tends to hold up quite well.

Yeh, this could work, didn't think they go that cheap...

Also, when I was talking about quality, I was talking about the hardware performance...

The nexus 7 is R2600 iirc, but thanks will give it another look, well then your beloved takealot should look at their marketing because it says HD in the add, but thanks for the help again.

Beloved?

I never liked them much, their prices aren't too good unless they have a special on.

Kalahari used to have the Nexus 7 for R2k but I think they're out of stock now, but it's definitely worth even R2600. It has 32GB storage vs this one's 8, it has an actual 1280x720 display and a Tegra 3 chip which is still quite fast especially for 3D games.

+1 if you can find a nexus 7 at 2600 or below. take it, you won't find a better tablet at that price
