HD PVR Problem

My new HD PVR won't find satellite. Scans to 10% and then reports an LNB/satellite problem. Any help?

PVR just unpacked, so hasn't worked.

How many LNB's do you have connected in the back of the PVR?

Only 1 LNB, apparently this will never work... will have to wait for the LNB change Mon. Heard you could use it with a single view LNB.

You need a dual view LNB and a splitter.

U can use a single LNB but you must still split that into the four inputs and plug them all in otherwise you will keep getting that error message, I had the same problem couldn't get it to work then the installer pitches up connects the splitter and it worked....

Are you sure you can split the single view LNB into 4 and get a picture?
That your set-up? I assume its view only with no PVR functions?

You need a dual LNB into a 4x2 switch, or a SatCR LNB. It won't work correctly with a single LNB, if at all.

It wont work correctly but you will be able to watch TV no recording or other functions though, no thats not my setup its what the installer told me when i couldn't get mine to work
