What is the use of DSTV let alone HD if everything falls flat when there is a slight bout of rain in Jhb!

TBH, I wish they'd just fix one thing for me - the fact that somebody who bought the low-end normal decoder can see what music they're listening to on DMX, but we who paid top money for the HD-PVR can only see a blank screen. Not even MultiChoice callcentre knows exactly what's going on there.

Don't get me wrong, they offer a great service and the updates help to make things better... I just wish they't factor into their "priority list" also the fact that some things though low-priority is sitting in their list of things to do for years now.

get a bigger dish. it's got nothing to do with DSTV but rather satellite technology itself.

How long will SA consumer have to "bend over" and finance poor and pricey propitiatory topbox implementations.

And that is just on top of mediocre overpriced content subscription.

NO
Enough is enough we demand freedom of choice and quality products and services for our hard earned cash!!!!!!

How exactly do you do a forced software update?

Reboot the decoder by holding the Reset button.

Wait for 'dl' to appear on the front panel.
When it appears, quickly press -

Power button
up
down
up
Power button

That will force upgrade.
