HDD HELP

I bought a samsung G2 500GB about 3 weeks ago, i plug it in today, only to find that it isn't working! I plug it into my macbook and PS3, the light comes on, but cant pick it up on both devices... The light blinks 3 times, then stops, then again... Any help would be appreciated

Most hdd manufacturers carry a 3 year warranty nowadays

Hard drives are fragile and can break at any moment. Listen carefully to it. If you hear repeated clicking sounds it's probably broken. It should have a continuous whine.

Slim chance it could be the cable - more than likely its buggered and requires RMA

Have you tried using a short cable? Sounds like it needs more current. Best thing to do would be to return it if that doesn't work.
