After selling off most of my PC i am left with 7 x 3.5" hard drives.
I have a HDD Toaster dock thingy that i use when ever i want something off them.
What i now need is a nice way to store the drives when not in use.
Does anyone have an idea on how i should go about doing this? Its mainly to keep the dust off them.

Find a plastic box of approximately the right size or make one out of plywood.
add rails or drawers.

Anti-static bags taped up. Wrap foam around bag and secure with elastic. Put in box.

What happend to those antistatic plastic flip open boxes that you used to buy hdd's in?
last time I saw 1 was with the 40 gigs.

Aggreed -

VHS cassette box (picked up loads for free from Mr Video) - some sponge tape and you have a nice home for your hard drives.

Pic shows the prototype (the real drives go into their own anti-static bags THEN into the VHS box)

Use old VHS tape cases. put the drives in anti-static bag

Thats an awesome idea!! I shall give that a go....

If it fails i shall get a few of these :D.
Thanks guys!

think you just gave me a project for my c02 laser :)

Make one out of perspex that can hold several drives.
