We import too. Nobody calls it a switcher splitter. It does not split. It switches... Maybe they call an HDMI matrix a switcher splitter.

Ok, I agree that splitter was/is a bad description for something that switches HDMI inputs. I think splitter just stuck, which is why other online sellers still refer to it as a splitter switcher.

Okay. Just Googled "switcher splitter" and there are some Chinese guys mistakenly calling it a switcher splitter. The majority calls it a switcher however...

Because in my mind the two terms signify differing functionality;

HDMI switcher - select one of many inputs to send to an output
HDMI splitter - input is replicated to multiple outputs simultaneously
