HDMI Splitter or switch box

What pricing on your Server Cabinets?

I am looking at getting a server cabinet for my office at home.

Wow. Good price for the HDMI splitter. Thus far the cheapest was Takealot with R359. Your R299 deal is the bomb.
Do you guys allow pickups in CT to allow CT customers to save on the shipping charges?

Sure, or I could drop it off for you, what area you in?

Oh and shipping is only R21.50, which might work out cheaper if you consider how expensive petrol is these days

Hi ToxicBunny,

I'll add them to the site tonight with full specifications and nice pictures

The distributor stocks larger units (27U & 42U), or are you only interested in the sizes I mentioned?

Thanks

I'm personally currently leaning towards a larger unit purely because I'm going to centralising all my electronic kit into it...

Wow. Cool.
Situated in the business park, or from home?
Youre not perhaps that MAC guy that used to advertise his A/V installation services in the Edgemead news?

No, brand new business started end of last year. Renting some office space from a family friend

I'm gonna be going a step further than that.

I already have an HDMI Splitter, and HDMI Extenders. But I'm going to bring all my media stuff, as well as servers, and camera kit and such all into a single cabinet. Kind of why I'm looking to go slightly bigger then normal for a home since it will be responsible for anything electronic any my house. How do you extend the PS3 and Xbox controllers btw? (is it even possible?)

Yes, wireless range of the controllers is 10m, which works perfectly in all the rooms of my modest home :)

I also have a kinect camera in the lounge so used a 20m active USB cable to extend it, works 100%

Your project sounds awesome. Are you going the home automation route?

As much as is possible in a 60yr old home. I'm thankfully gutting about 60% of the home, so have a chance to correct some of the previous misdeeds of the owners.

Must hunt around and see if anyone has managed to extend the wireless range of the controllers, or found a way to forward the signal on, because my cabinet will be a good 20m from the lounge area.

Ja, me too... that's why I am looking for some nice cabinets.

Yes, one of our distributors stock them

What size you after? They have 4, 6, 9 and 12U

I have a 24 port TP-link gigabit switch that is 13 inches wide.
So the 400 mm cabinet should be fine.
maybe with two shelves?

I think I read somewhere online that people were trying to do it, failing that you could always use a USB extender and non-wireless controllers, extend to behind the couch maybe?

You might need to confirm power requirements first
