Hey guys,

So I finally bought myself a LED TV...the feels are so good!! 32" JVC Full HD TV....I bought an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to the TV. The display is currently on 1920 x 1080, which is awesome, but I have one slight problem now...that it looks like the sides have been trimmed off.

Only like half of my taskbar shows, I cant see the top of my Window. My laptop has the Nvidia GT525M 1GB DDR3 graphics card, and at the moment it is using the Nvidia Graphics card. What is causing this?? What can I try?

Thanks

Check in the Nvidia Control Panel for "Adjust desktop size and position" and make sure "No scaling" is applied, it should look exactly like this:

If that doesnt work then its a TV setting.

on my samsung there is a setting under picture options called size , i changed it to screen fit which fixed the problem.

Thanks a lot...I went into the nvidia control panel and I created a custom resolution....At first it wasn't there...so I restart my laptop, now it was there :D

Have had this happen to me on my laptop, Nvidia control panel didn't work too well. I had to use the graphics properties in the Intel page and set a custom Horizontal and Vertical size :) No problems since :)
