So the PVR upgrade seems to have flown under the radar?

Comments?

Don't get too excited .... the Multichoice updates for the HD-PVR usually fix just a few of the many bugs ... and then introduce a couple of new ones.

Its not just the HDPVR thats been upgraded. All the decoders apart from the SD PVR and Dual View decoders (which will be available soon) have been upgraded.

Allows you to set up, up to 18 networks on there, wonder what that means?!

It is needed for setting up decoders on single cable conversion systems, where frequencies are shifted. Certain blocks of flats and gated communities use these systems.

Any idea when we will be getting a single view, non pvr straight forward HD decoder?

Thats what I'm really looking for.

Some tweetie birds have told me that this software upgrade is voluntary for a short while, and if no new major bugs are found, then it will be "pushed' to all HDPVR subscribers soon.
Also, the 9 series set-top boxes (910,933,990) have indeed been upgraded to allow for functions that are forthcoming in a major update down the line.
As to a single view HD decoder, hang on, it is coming for sure! But first comes the UEC HDPVR box!

My HDPVR did 3 updates automatically over the weekend, each took less than 1 minute. Didnt notice any change, except that the same annoying bug* remained (* when I call up the channel grid with the left or right arrow and move to another channel and press info, it goes back to the original channel)
