Headlight help

Still doesn't sound as bad as my car. I have to remove the battery, airbox and relocate the fuse box if I want to get to the passenger side bulbs or remove the windscreen washer reservoir, coolant bottle and move the radiator hose if I want to replace my driver side bulbs.

That said, the entire headlight unit comes out with three 10mm bolts so that is the route I take :p

What car is that?

2011 Hyundai i30

EDIT: To be fair the high beam lights can be reached without any effort, but it's the dipped beam and indicator bulbs that are tricky

The space around the engine itself is generous and there is ample working space for getting to things like the oil filter, gearbox fill/drain plugs, serpentine belt and what not. It's just around the lights that things get cramped as the lights sit fairly towards the outer edge of the car itself

The link I posted was for H7 bulbs, the H4 is R335 @ takealot or R275 directly from the supplier.

bought the same ones - perfecto! but agree, it's not as simple as "plug n play" ... plus, i was really worried about pulling to hard and breaking something! End of the day, got it done though

Hmm not sure. They change their bloody branding every year.

Best to first confirm it is the bulb.

What’s the total cost? Might be worth it.

I recall I paid R280 or so for my last pair of H7’s.

Actually gooi the link because I need some new ones for high beam anyway.
Besides Takealot, where else can one buy these lights? Where did you get your previous set?

Midas usually.
Mission finally accomplished. Got a leka discount as a new Takealot customer, worked out to far cheaper than Midas.

Took a while to arrive and for me to find time to do it. But it was quick and painless this time.

Might I add, I feel like a real man now

Bought H7 Phillips Whitevision bulbs from Goldwagen last week. Paid R385 for the set and it comes with park lights as well.
