How much did you pay for those?

I'd reckon that stereo headphones with a decent sound card that can emulate 5.1 surround sound (eg. Asus Xonar DX/ST/STX) is better for gaming than the 5.1 surround sound headphones.
Gaming with my Asus Xonar DX + modified Sennheiser HD555 is awesome, especially with games that supports 5.1/7.1 surround sound!

I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 15 which I'm very happy with. I got mine in the States where they're around $300 - they're unfortunately quite expensive here If you travel, you'll wonder how you got by without them...
