Heating?

Saw something like this yesterday while in Sandton City. I am considering it. Works with a biofuel gel. Smoke and odorless. Does anyone know how long the gel lasts before you have to refill again?

It's pretty, isn't it? Unfortunately I don't know anything about the gel longevity either. Would be interested.

I'm in Joburg and my partner and 2 dogs seem to feel it's cold enough to have one wall-heater and at least one blower on at night and in the morning. I was raised in colder climates and I really don't feel the need for it - except maybe at 2 in the morning.

I am also not feeling the cold. Most definitely not enough to justify a electric or gas heater etc. These biofuel fireplaces gave off a very gentle radiating heat which would suit me nicely.

Nope,
PTA/Centurion,
Pre-planned? - Last winter i noticed there was a lot of air coming in through the metal frame of windows so i sealed it with those foam tapes and have a door thingy at the back of the front door. Thus far its been good enough for me not to need to put on my heated blanky so i guess its all in the preparation?

Another thing is I cook 2x a week, usually in the evening which heats up the place too. But yah.. sealing windows and doors will make a huge difference :)
