Heavy weather ahead

Well just join the club. We're fed up with government and CASA. Incompetence abound in good ol' SA.

Thing is, I hold shares in BCX, but a Telkom takeover is too much. Haha, I hate Telkom, want as less to do with them as possible.
 
y are all these companies so interested in bcx?dont get it.. what do they do thats so special? with all this interest, me is thinking of buying a couple of shares in bcx, currently at 745 telkom wanted to pay 925.....
 
BCX is very connected and very very big. It's also very well positioned for every major IT contract the government intendsputting tenders out for.
 
IT group Business Connexion is fed up with the time it’s taking for the competition authorities to make a final decision on Telkom’s offer to buy it out.


“This process has been very disruptive to our business,” says BCX deputy CEO Benjamin Mophatlane

He feels that it has taken the Competition Commission “unreasonably long” to recommend that Telkom’s offer of R2,4bn for BCX be blocked. The commission recommended the acquisition be “prohibited” last Friday, more than five months after it began its investigations.

I don't understand why they don't just walk away come 15 December, seems this whole thing has knocked them hard and if they leave the negotiating table BCX will be able to recover from the hardship of trying to do business with Telkom ;).

Perhaps Telkom's offer is just too good to turn down. Don't know what a good offer for BCX would be.
 
LOL they wait 5 months and moan, but it is ok for consumers to wait 2 years for a hearing to take place and then have the findings disregarded by the authorities. Bha suffer suffer suffer, what goes around comes around. May Telkom and all associated with them burn in Hell...
