Anyone know wat's up with the crazy prices of heirloom gear after the last patch? More expensive than teir 10 items.
 
I think the answer from Blizzard will be:
"Working as intended"

The other solutions, as painful as it may be, is to earn Crusader status with the Argent Tournament.
Personally speaking after having done the grind to Crusader (twice thanks to faction change), purchased the tabard (50 emblems), the pony bridle (150 emblems), the hippogriph (150 emblems). The idea of ANY more jousting is soul destroying.

Heirlooms are purchasable Crusader Seals earned from the dailies. To be honest having got all of the junk above, the only thing I would consider close to essential is the Tabard, which with the portal vanishing from Dalaran will loose a lot of it's functionality.

I blame my main for being an Argent Dawn/Crusade fan boy.
 
my sympathies to you! i finished all those dailies, got the squire and the pony bridle, and the tabard and a few pets, then farted in the coliseums general direction and havent been back. not even for the weekly. well, i have only been back since august, and I think i did a few dailies there, but got over it so quick. might do it again to get the one or 2 pets im missing. gonna have to be braindead bored tho
 
Blizzard already said its in line with the amount of justice points you will gain per boss at level 85...don't have the link now and way to lazy to get it.
 
If it does help to lessen the sting, current Heirloom only scale up to level 80. Cata will introduce new heirlooms that scale to 85 as well as new Heirloom types (Cloak, Head).

So you haven't wasted your points, as those who have already bought Heirlooms will probably do so again for 80 to 85.
 
im pretty sure i read its unusally high, similarily pre 80 pvp items they will be adjusted. most things will be fixed by next wednesday.
 
What's the prices of Heirlooms now?

Do the other one's still work?

I have a full set of plate/chainmail, cloth and leather looms.

I should've done the same. Instead my 95 frosties and 150 triumphs, 65k honor, hundreds of marks, etc. were recycled into peanuts. :/
 
Where 2 emblems away for the plate set, now i'm propably going to wait for cataclysm before touching my alt(prot pally) again.

They're all gone. All of your marks. Gone.

To work out how many 'Justice Points' you have now, use this calculator

The older stuff is converted into gold, while the newer stuff is converted to Justice or Honour Points.

Currency / Amount = Equivalent

Converted to Gold:
Badge of Justice / 1 = 1g83s30c
Emblem of Heroism / 1 = 5g50s00c
Emblem of Valor / 1 = 5g50s00c
Emblem of Conquest / 1 = 5g50s00c

Converted to Justice Points:
Emblem of Triumph / 1 = 11
Emblem of Frost / 1 = 11

PVP Honor Points
Currency / Amount = Equivalent
Old Honor Points / 50 = 1 HP
Arena Points / 10 = 8 HP
Wintergrasp MoH / 1 = 19 HP
Battlegrounds Mark of Honor / 1 = 2 HP
Stone Keeper Shards / 1 = 1 HP
Venture Coin / 1 = 3 HP
Spirit Shard / 1 = 1 HP
 
Instead of getting marks / emblems from doing dungeons, you now earn Justice Points (15 per boss?) from doing raids/heroics. Apparently you can also earn them from trash mobs at a lower rate.
 
I also have all of the chest/shoulder pve heirlooms, as well as the mace and staff and the mana trinket. I was hoping to get the health trinket before the patch hit, but I guess it's doing Argent Tournament dailies now, or running ToC5 HC the whole time.
