Hellmann's - What junk is this?

Want to try Japanese Mayo but it cost R90 a bottle. Right now can't justify that expense.

I sometimes make my own mayo using my bamix but sometimes it just comes watery and doesn't thicken up at all and have no idea why.

I usually just get the cheap mayo, Nola or whatever. Everyone has been talking about Hellmann's. Great. Got a small one, Original it says, for R30. Why not?

First taste. Salt.
Texture. Puffy air like egg white.
Aftertaste. Slight mustard powdered egg with salty oil taste.


What is this salty rubbish?

There are two variations to this, about three years back I used the stuff, then it started to taste different. What I deduced was the kak stuff was now being made in SA under license, the stuff I had liked was the original imported stuff.....

OK, let me just mess with your head a bit more quickly: make yourself a toasted cheese, no butter, Hellmanns on the outside and fry that up. If you have done this and you still feel rocks for Hellmanns then you're on your own.
