HelloPeter’s new CEO announced

I hope his first task is to drag the design of that website out of the nineties and into sometime this century. My eyes bleed every time I look at it.

Hopefully they will immediately get going on an app for mobile devices and allow pics too etc.

Hopefully they will stop blackmailing companies to be able to respond and find some other source of revenue or at least allow the small guys to respond for free and sell the big guys a premium package of some sort.

I don't know how they're still in business. It's ridiculous how much money companies have to pay to respond. Twitter is slowly replacing it.

yeh - twitter has far bigger visibility than hello peter.

HP was relevant before social media, but nowadays its no more than an obscure artifact.

Whats more the blackmail model is shameful. On that fact alone, I hope they go out of business

I look forward to exciting advances in the never-ending quest for fair customer service.

I hope nothing is taken away from the essential mechanism that has made HP so successful in customer advocacy

One possible improvement: you log a clear and legitimate complaint and the corporate is allowed to post a neutral 'auto-response' such as 'thank you for your complaint. We value your feedback. We are looking into it and will let you know'

That response does nothing for the customer and often is supported by any real response or investigation, and when you follow up 5 days later you get the same lame auto-response
