I tried ordering the Afrihost mobile deal using my passport and the system declined. Asked for help from Afrihost and was told to put zeros in front of my passport number so that the form will have the requisite characters and still the website declined. I would be grateful for other who ordered using their passports to give me some tips because the technical help I got isn't helping.

I had same/similar problem. I even emailed them my passport and address details,but no luck.
PM Afriman , he helped me out
We have built the system to verify South African ID's and prevent fraudeulent signups.
However passports are very difficult to accomodate, as each country uses it's own coding system, and we can't predict what format or how many characters are required.

We have had the usage bug reported to us, and we're working on sorting this out. Just remember that once fixed it may only affect reporting going forward, so we'll need you guys to monitor that the issue does not occur again
