HELP: Car Rolled with Handbrake Up

Yeah but the ratio is now reversed so it does actually make sense. ;) We had a thread about this...someone got rear-ended while stationary at a robot & gearbox blew a week later or something like that.

...and I said the same there. Correlation ≠ causation. ;)

And what has the 1980s got to do with it? Was that a bad decade for handbrakes?

Used to be that every car back then had failing hand-brake.

Toyota, Nissan 1400 bakkie, Mercedes C-class. Few of the cars from that time I'd driven in that had failed hand-brakes (back in 90s)

In my mind I associate bad hand-brakes with that era :p

Probably more to do with you being younger with less money to spend on decent cars, and on repairs to those cars :)

By the way, there was no C-class merc in the 80s.

I didn't drive back then, was parents or friends parents cars ;)

Yeah sorry it was the E class, that big steel thing.
