Apparently the guy is dead set against Macs running bootcamp. He says they're too hard to get on their network (meanwhile she school insists on each student having an iPad.
Might be an option. Thanks
yeah i wont deny that, i've drunk it all.
There is no shortage of Macs in my house.I did, i'm busy I just saw a quick entry for plugging Apple, took it, and ran!![]()
Yeah, it's a PC.You sure your kid didn't intercept the requirements list and changed the specs before sending it to you?
Any suggestions for something that won't break the bank

Tell me about it - I've got a 17" 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5 lying around that I figured would be ideal, however, it's a mac.

They will.Well if it runs Windows 10 they can’t complain.
In a nutshell. So due to HIS incompetence in IT, you have to pay up?
Not being able to boost as high? The “guy” is clearly an idiot as there is no difference once it’s running Windows 10.
Not being able to boost as high?
The specification of i5 is meaningless, Intel completely destroyed that line of product differentiation.
I know, the requirements are stupid, should be "Windows 10 since the software uses it" and then at least 1080p is recommended, quad core / 8 threads (add passmark or something as min, or better would have been blender benchmark since this is graphics design: https://opendata.blender.org/) recommended, 2GB graphics memory required (should have been said dedicated graphics card with that memory, listing some min versions or something), etc.No no, the statement was that they are harder to put on a network.
That is complete nonsense as Windows 10 is Windows 10 regardless of what it’s running on.
