XFX GeForce 6600GT 128MB DDR3 (DVI+TV+DVI) - AGP 8x
ASUS Nvidia Geforce 6600GT, 128MB, 128bit DDR3 (TV+DVI+Dual VGA) - AGP
Gainward GeForce 6600GT 128MB GS (CRT+TV+DVI) - AGP 8x (Ultra/1960 TV-DVI GS)
MSI NX6600GT-VTD128, 128MB Geforce FX 8X AGP (DVI, ViVo)

All are AGP, and im not upgrading to PCIX

I want to go and buy it today.

ummm i thought i might tell you this

but pcie cards are around 400 rand cheaper than agp add another 200 you could get a board and a 6600gt for the 200 extra just a thought though

they make the pci cards cheaper so ppl will upgrade their boards

use it dont :)

gainward do you need vivo? cause there are cheaper options like no vivo

Try find reviews on each card, compare the clock speeds etc, and go with the better performing one.

They're all good brands tho.

It really depends on what other hardware he has. He might have to change his processor and memory if he gets a new MB. Not worth buying a new MB just to gain a PCIE slot if you are forced to buy one that still supports his old processor and memory.

As I say just depends on his other components.

I've got the Gainward 6600GT Golden Sample and I'm VERY happy with it!

Gainward For Sure. The Golden Sample Range are some of the best cards you can buy.

ASUS is also great but I dont think they run higher than stock GPU speeds as standard. Dont know XFX that well but I have heard good things.

I have had 2 Gainward GS cards and they are the best.

I have a ASUS Nvidia Geforce 6600GT, 128MB, 128bit DDR3 and runs awesome!!
but mine is PCIX 16x. Trust me rather spend a bit more and buy a PCIX motherboard, AGP cards cost alot more! :)

Im gonna go for the Gainward, as it scored basically the best on THG, and its cheaper than ASUS. I would rather have liked XFX cause of the bundle cause gainward seems like they have no real bundle.

I just recently bought a new mb and cpu, so im not going to upgrade and there is no real performance, its all just "theoretical" performance if you go pcix.

They have no stock of the gainward, only have them again next year.
