Help me find a laptop

Requirements:
Sturdy
Well known name brand with good back-up
Windows 7 or XP
Microsoft Office/outlook
Wireless
2GB memory
Intel i3 or i5 Processor

Need it for:
Travel
Plugging into genset controllers to reset/programme
Back up my office PC files for presentations and to have access during travel

I've been to the usual culprit stores but every store wants to sell me a different something/something never mind the incompetent staff that you give your requirements to and they wanna sell you something with a 1GB memory and Celeron.

Anyone know of good deals on the market at present and where?

Visit computer mania website. There is a Toshiba laptop i5 with the specs u looking for and more. However it does not come with ms office.

Recently bought a laptop for my daughter for varsity. Had to shop mostly online because I stay in the sticks. Eventually bought it from pc-direct.co.za who although they were more expensive than another online place who didn't have stock, they dropped their price by quite a lot to beat the lower price. Paid by eft and the laptop was in my possession within a week.
It was higher spec than yours because of the varsity requirements, but check them out anyway.
If you buy microsoft office student you get most of the goodies for under R1k and you can install it on three different computers.
Please note that you can't use outlook express on Win 7 - but I s'pose you knew that
Godd brand names will cost you. I had to get an MSI because of cost/spec constraints, but it seems ok so far (9 months)

What about this one, sure it doesn't come with Office but you might aswell get that seperatly anyways since most laptops around your budget will only come with a 60 day trial.
