Ours weren't dropped sync though come to think of it. Exchange stopped sending auth packets and simply and simply dropped the connection to the ISP. FYI, we're seeing a ton of issues on assia. Like stop packets no longer being sent properly. Check latest auth issues across ISPs. Not seeing stop packets for numerous session changes and actual disconnects, causing concurrency issues and auth rejections...
Is this IP block admin or actual routing for location issues? Because you can't really route over alternate geographical IPC points easily according to Telkom. I know there have been issued with Telkom deploying the wrong IP blocks over the wrong exchanges. Happened last week...It is extremely sensitive at the moment, And hasn't been configured properly yet in my opinion, However, Once configured properly and not so aggressive it will automate a lot of functions and give the end users the ability to serve themselves.
We have been picking up the issue throughout the network regarding sessions not closing. We've also noticed that isps systems are reporting incorrect location data. Client in CPT meanwhile isp systems showing they are connecting in JHB etc.

k problem might of been my ****ing **** **** cat apparently (****er was playing with things she shouldn't be)
gonna run MTR overnight and see if there was a change
Run it no quickly and see what change there is. Yours was a persistent problem so a test noe will be a good indicator. What do you think the problem may have been?
In any case I hope the mods lock this thread and delete it because this is possibly the most embarrassing thing to happen so far
0% loss so far. The "downtime" was my cat ****ing with one of the extensions in the lounge, which when I asked my mother about was supposed to be for the other line we had but was now disconnected. Either the Telkom guys who installed it years ago did a **** job at it or my cat is finally initiating her plan on driving me insane. In any case I hope the mods lock this thread and delete it because this is possibly the most embarrassing thing to happen so far

Thanks for all the help! Hope I wasn't too much trouble.
Oh the book I could write. Well glad the issue sorted now.
No, happens to the best of us. I once had a techie come check my line because I forgot to add a splitter and the phone kept disconnecting the DSL. I laughed, techie looked at me like I'd murdered his pet, and my employees still give me crap about it. I no longer do the DSL line problem training for new support staff.![]()
T'sek! Where's my biltong!?
