Hey.

Been browsing the crap out of the forums. Just gave me a headache.

I am with cybersmart. I have horrible latencies from 6:30 am up to 12pm. My connection is only usable for 6.5 hours and that is when I'm usually sleeping.

My brother sent them traceroutes, and it came up with packet loss everytime, except for local things. They flat out said "no, no lost packets here". Sent them another traceroute in easier to read format, haven't had a reply.

I think it's time for me to send them a cancellation note.

I want to know, who I should be choosing for my isp. I don't care about more than 10gb of cap, all I care about is latency and consistency.

I was thinking imaginet with their capped unshaped.

Should I just use telkom analogue and dsl line?

Hey man

Oddly enough, I am a telkom fan so I would recommend them. Even though I have complained about them in the past. My view is this, we are using their network so why not use their service.

Also, I think that they are trying to be more competitive as of lately. I only wish that they would be more consistant and reliable. Why would I recommend them then? Well, cause their service has been stable, its been great. It was great right up until the 31st for me... now I am having issues but I think its due to a network change or something like that. Maybe people switching over after seeing their new uncapped rates.

Another option is WebAfrica, especially if you live in the CT area.

No thanks to telkom. shaped as well, half the cap, half the bandwith, and apparent issues for more money. I don't feel like testing my luck, but I guess I will have to, with imaginet.

Like I said, uncapped isn't what I'm going for.
