Help me with a name for a car part.

Can you guys please assist, I am helping a friend out with his Corolla, I am not too familiar with Toyota, the part attached is leaking oil at alarming levels, anyone knows what is it?

Could ut be a oil presure sensor ?

It is indeed the oil pressure sensor. They usually leak when the vehicle is overfilled with engine oil (because people don't read dipsticks correctly)

You are a competent mechie.
To check whether it is the oil sensor disconnect the wires and see if the oil warning light comes on.
I'm sure, as already been said, it is the oil pressure sender unit.

Seems there a O ring

He says some plastic is broken somewhere on it, cannot get a detailed explanation to what exactly is broken but some local mechanic tried to fix it with some glue and silicone, got better for a while and now it's leaking again. I wanted the name of the part so he can get a new one.
