Hi everyone, I need help on how IPTV works please. I have the apps on my Samsung TV but I am pretty much clueless on how it works and what to do. Any help/advice would be appreciated. :)

You need a provider. Maybe try searching on reddit for iptv providers.

As cavedog mentioned, you'll need to find and sign up with an IPTV provider which can be complicated and frustrating... The subs will run you a couple of hundred ZAR every month, but if you manage to find a good provider it's worth every cent and more.

There is a pretty long running thread on MyBB which might point you in the right direction.

The provider will send you a URL with your login details... You load those details into the app you have on your TV and you should be good to go.

iptv is the best thing I have ever signed up for. R200 a month and myself, my wife and my kids will NEVER run out of things to watch

download iptv smarters on your tv, find a provider, put details in and you are good to go. PM me if you want details of a decent provider

Anyone with experience of Strimz, the local IPTV provider. Cheap, compared to most others.

I don't know that one but I just use the cheapest. 4 euro a month and the private torrent sites has iptv with 2 connections if you donate $10.

OTT Navigator is also a very decent app. Very fast browsing even with large playlists
Televizo - to be found in the Android TV PlayStore

This isn't bad either for the features in the free version without premium. Have to long press on the scheduled program for an in detail description. A " fatter " look, but better than the IPTV Smarters default the providers want you to download.

Played around with Tivimate, Ott Navigator.

Can set favourites etc and play movies&series if wanted to - premium at Tivimate.

Quite happy with this.Screenshot_20230608-192149.jpg

Edit: I set everything to " List " at the settings, much easier than the default " Grid " and other options for me, and then gives the duration left for program+EPG as default/bonus.

Here in the Republic of South Africa, it is required that you also have a valid SABC licence
Regardless of the device you're watching it on
It's the law
Do the right thing
Pay yours now
Thank You

Goodbye TV Licence — South Africans say no to paying for SABC

I know how IPTV works. My question is if the premium service you can sign up for in the Tivimate app have the SA channels?
