Help needed setting up E220

good day. i'm a novice at all this chat thing but i'm having problems with my huawei e220 device. of all the threads i've read it looks like you might be ablle to help me; unfortunately i'm not sure how i'm supposed to go about post my request so i replied to your conversation.

when trying to connect the device to the network i get an error prompt that says: Connection error: a connection to the remote computer could not be established. so the port used for this connection has been closed. for further assistance click more info or search help and support Center for this error number.
can some one please help me to get this device working.
i have tried accessing the help menue but its not allowing me to click on it.
 
Are you from South Africa ?

The last guy we had here was from Portugal

Go to Network Connections and connect with the VMCLite connection there. Post the error Number Windows displays here.

I've got a feeling its error 619...
