Help needed with connection issues

Firstly, I have had 4MB adsl for ages. Had no problems whatsoever. I used to stay connected for days without any trouble at all.

Recently, this all changed. I keep on getting random disconnects. Like I will be browsing and suddenly all pages will stop loading. After like 30 seconds, it will reconnect. This happens several times a day.

I took router stats during one of these drops.

Please, help me!!!

You are getting CRC errors on your line in what seems to be bursts. it can be that the copper pair running to your house is maybe one leg diss or there is a connection problem in you DP box at the house or at the SDC. The port in the exchange can also cause this if it is faulty.

You will unfortunately have to report this to the Telkom fault reporting center (10219) to get a technician to investigate the line and repair any defects on it.

Perhaps you should try G.Dmt modulation instead of ADSL2+ modulation.

Also, the router is supposed to synchronize at 4096/512 and NOT at 4092/511 !
