[HELP]New Billion 7300G

Hi All,

I have a query for those who know. My brand new telkom adsl line has been installed last week and the 'Your line is now activated' sms came through on Monday.

My problem is that my Billion 7300G's ADSL light doesn't EVER come on.

My question is: Is this ADSL light suppose to be completely off or should it flash regardless of if an ADSL connection exists or not?

So far Telkom reports that the line should be working, they won't send out a techie so I'm left to be thinking that the modem is broken.

As I have it the ADSL light should be on if you have the line and it will be off if you don't.

Thanx for the info Fayera! I'll continue squabbling with Telkom to get what I'm paying for.
 
Ozz, I have the exact same router, it must start flashing before it will sync. So if yours is completely off, then either your line isn't up yet, or there is a problem at your exchange, or your router is faulty.

Jip, it's completely off. I can hear it trying to sync when I'm on the phone so I reckon it's working because it's trying to do something.

But thanx for the reply StoneCold! I'll just sit tight and wait for my line to be migrated to MWEB so they can sort this out.
 
you didn't plug the router in after the filter right? try the adsl alone...with no filters telephones etc....

The router is plugged directly into the wall port. I've tried with/ without the telephone plugged into the other socket. I've tried both sockets, both have dial tone.
