I want to use an old Pc for daily Backups.
I want to keep this backup Pc in a local secure place presumably running it on a LAN.

A few questions:

Is it possible to run this Backup Pc without a screen and keyboard?
What software to use on the Backup Pc? The Pc is a old 166M Pentium.
What software to use on the other Pc's? or Pc? Only one is really important.

Forgive me if these are noob questions. I really will appreciate your input.

1) Yes it is possible. You will require a keyboard and monitor to set it up though.
2) I'd recommend FreeNAS as it uses very little system resources and is rock-solid (http://www.freenas.org/)
3) If you want to backup certain files or folders, just copy them over the network to the FreeNAS computer. If you want to backup an entire bootable drive, check out the thread on what the best software to use to clone/image a harddrive with.

Hope this helps :)
